The DepEd states that “every private school is required to maintain school discipline at a level consistent with accomplishment of good work” and that “ A private school is entitled anytime to drop from school a student who is considered undesirable.” The DepEd also provides the principals and teachers with Special Parent Authority.

Disciplinary sanctions are imposed only after investigation has been undertaken and met the requirements of due process.
Each student must bear in mind that disciplinary measures are formulated to:

1. Help him/her to attain self-discipline.
2. Guide him/her to become a responsible and mature christian.
3. Impress upon him/her the importance of law and order.
4. Teach him/her to live by the meaning and ideals of justice.
5. Safeguard the good reputation of the school.
